  • West Gippsland Area (Warragul, Poowong, Longwarry, Neerim, Moe, Yarragon, Trafalgar, Willow Grove, Bunyip and surrounds)

NDIS

Our OT’s are very experienced in working with NDIS and can help you understand NDIS language

and your plan, so you are able to make best use of it to work towards your goals. We are also very experienced at the functional

capacity assessments that NDIA use to establish your needs and to build your plans.

Other NDIA specific work includes comprehensive SDA and SIL assessments, assistive technology

assessments, vehicle modification assessments, minor home modifications (and connections to

refer out for complex home modifications).

Adult OT: Some services to make your journey easier

  • Future needs assessment & forward planning to maximise independence & maintain dignity

  • Motorised mobility device (wheelchair & scooter) assessment, prescription & training, with expertise in complex seating

  • Activities of daily living assessment & training

  •  Recommendations for vehicle modification (driver &passenger)

  • Complex care program support & manual handling training for carers

  • Strategies & intervention for participants & family, to support living a ‘best life’

  • Developing programs for Support Workers

  • Assessment, prescription & training in use of Complex AT (assistive technology) ensuring a “good fit” between client, family & environment

  • Assessment & management of pressure care & 24-hour positioning

  • Integration into the community including connecting to recreational and leisure-based activities & public transport training

  • Prescription of environmental control units and IT, using alternative access options where needed (eg. switches)
